“The Black Stallion Greenville NY” by Barbara Mensch up for auction at JHP November 4th
“The Black Stallion Greenville NY” by Barbara Mensch
By Sara Sweetwood
In this image, a serene, rural backdrop contrasts with a handsome black stallion to create an escape from New York City’s urban vista. This photograph is a breath of fresh air after being bombarded with the many sights and sounds of New York City’s hustle and bustle.
About the Photograph:
Mensch took this photograph in 2013 in Upstate New York. The artist proof is a study for a large scale color work, indicating a recent departure from Mensch’s stark and beautiful black and white images. It is a 15” x 15” print, printed on archival pigment paper and signed in pen on verso.
This amazing photograph will be part of the Josephine Herrick Project 2013 MODERN MASTERS OF PHOTOGRAPHY BENEFIT AUCTION on November 4, 2013 in NYC. For more information about the auction, please visit: http://jhproject.org/benefit/
